In Minnesota, we have three local restaurants owned by the same family. They're all called Brasa (two in Minneapolis, and one in St. Paul, and they're excellent. But they're closed today, for an excellent reason. Here's their statement:

This is absolutely my favorite way to cook, particularly when it's odd extras from something I already made.
That feeds into lesson three:

Make it a puzzle.

If your brain works like mine, you work better with constraints and making a game of it.

Do you like Chopped? Do that at home. Grab something at random that seems good (or is about to go bad, maybe). And from there, think, "What can I do with this?"

The truth is, this country is full of Tim Walzes. FULL OF. I am married to one. So are a lot of my friends... just, fundamentally kind, decent, wholesome, wife guys who need a weekly trip to Home Depot just because... always hands on dads, helpful, gentle, sweet. Not "alphas" aka divorce-worthy.
