My first bread machine loaf (from last Thursday, it's half eaten by now). Oatmeal Buttermilk, because that's what I had on hand. I forgot how good homemade bread is.
Old fashioned oats and dried buttermilk for easy storage and little to no spoilage over time while I experiment with baking bread.

I know things are terrible for everyone actually but increasingly, I am aware of how profoundly not OK I am and I should at this point do a lot more than seeing my therapist, but $200 and I can have four therapy appointments, which is something.

I don’t have a whole lot of advice for people younger than me but the earlier in life you stop worrying about what other people will think and just wholeheartedly enjoy the stuff you like the happier you’ll be

My friend lives in Michigan where it is already getting quite cold. Or so I hear. He has chickens, geese, ducks, and goats and jas been shopping around for warm sweaters or pj's for them to wear this winter. Being a knitter, my first thought is of course: omg! I must knit a sweater for a duck!

While thinking about the No Kings protests, I realized something. Trump isn't acting like a king. He's acting like a CEO. This isn't a monarchy, this is late stage capitalism. America is being treated as a business acquisition. He's stripping it for parts before dumping it like a fucking Toys R Us.
