As Craig Renney revealed to a shocked Dr Gary Payinda, Te Whatu Ora underspent its wages budget by $500m which has been signed off by Willis & returned to general coffers. Let that sink in. The money was there, but they deliberately underspent. On orders?

TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

Is anyone a programme facilitator at Corrections?

Can I pick your brain before my interview?

(Don't come at me re working for corrections, I know it's shit but also until there are no prisons, we want good people trying to make a difference. And I'm a good person)

Hey, NZ government, nice fucking job enacting new policy that will demonstrably make already vulnerable kids think it might be better to be dead than live in the world you’re trying so hard to build.

The putative Opposition hasn’t denounced this, so it’s clearly a world they want, too. #nzpol

If @theguardian.com who had 10.5 million followers on X can leave, so can you.

There's absolutely no excuse for staying.

I have huge admiration and respect for The Guardian for taking a stand and living up to their name.

If you're a good person you should follow their example and leave X.

After a bird flu outbreak tore through Midwestern barns, killing millions of chickens and spiking egg prices, the federal government didn’t investigate if the virus was airborne.

So ProPublica did.

Absolutely terrifying reporting from @natlash.bsky.social:

What the U.S. Government Is Dismissing That Could Seed a Bird Flu Pandemic
Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air. After a disastrous Midwestern outbreak early this year, we tested that theory and found that where the wind blew, the virus followed. Vacci...

since the "google is now training gemini on your email contents" thing keeps bumping around here: it's _not happening_. I say this not to defend google but because I know a lot of people that have broken their filtering and made their lives much more annoying from sheer misinformation.
The malwarebytes Google opting-your-emails-into-ai-training thing is not true. The post is based on one bad tweet.

I know anti-tech lamenting is a Bluesky core principle, but please use the same judgement you would for any other clickbait.

Anyone would think we’re talking about 1000s of children being prevented from going through puberty forever with the use of puberty blockers.

Puberty blockers were prescribed to 113 people in 2023.

Come on now. Let doctors and other medical professionals do their damned job.

wait lmao why would i believe national are going to increase kiwisaver contributions when *this term* they cut them. And it was a policy, not "oh something had to be cut to pay for something more important", they said "we don't want to pay this anymore. for the budget"
Who cut the $1000 Kickstarter? National
Who reduced the minimum contribution to 3%? National
Who reduced the member tax credit from $1040 to $521? National
Who then reduced the same member tax credit from $521 to $260.72? National.

Don't believe National on Kiwisaver.

It's almost as if Seymour is talking bullshit again to justify his pointless Ministry
These guys are dangerous idiots. It's tiresome enough already having to read, and re-check, the labels on everything that I eat, and now they want to have me scan a QR code to get to that information.
