I think there's a very specific type of techbro belief that humanities majors spent college frolicking and fucking while taking easy classes while the STEM kids were being crushed into misery by extremely difficult weed-out engineering courses and they deserve rewards and revenge for this.

It’s so fucked up how 9-5s are really like 7-7s because of commutes and prep/de-stress periods, like even the whole day before is ruined because you’re worrying about work the next day… and after transforming your whole life like that, you only get paid for 8 of those hours.
