This is the now deleted teaser for the 60 Minutes report that was supposed to air tonight on the CECOT torture prison in El Salvador that Donald Trump sent hundreds of migrants to. CBS is officially a mouthpiece for the Trump administration thanks to Bari Weiss

Not only was the Times obsessed with Hillary Clinton's emails while ignoring emails about Donald Trump sent to its own reporter, but since then it has constantly attacked anyone who dared look into questions of Trump's character. All with sanctimony.

Now we know it was all a big lie.

Call your senators today. Tell them, "I love gambling." Then make some smooching noises. Then meow a couple times. Who knows what'll work with those clowns.

Political violence from any party or any ideology is a direct assault on the foundations of democracy and the rule of law; it seeks not to persuade but to intimidate, not to debate but to destroy.

I genuinely believe the only way we smash fascism is if the next Democratic administration is willing to use prosecutions and investigations in aggressive and norm-bending ways that make a lot of bien pensant legal academics extremely uncomfortable.

Elon Musk has punched Trump harder in the past two hours than most Democrats in Congress have done since Trump took office. That is part of the problem for us, Dems!

The ongoing battle between the person minding their own business walking down the street and the mugger who just pistol-whipped them. The conflict escalated when the victim tried to call the police.
I really can't stand this framing: "The administration action, and Harvard’s response, signified a dramatic escalation of the battle between the administration and Harvard." The Trump administration is engaged in an unprovoked war on Harvard and higher education.

Respectfully, news orgs should not report that "Harvard can no longer" do xyz -- Trump just saying some shit doesn't make it law. Stop carrying water for him rhetorically.

Harvard can no longer enroll international students after the Trump administration revoked Harvard University's ability to enroll international students. The school called the decision "unlawful."

I wish journalists would stop framing political news as wins or losses for politicians or political parties. It’s an abrogation of our mission. Why do we keep doing this? Is the spending bill a win or loss for the American people? Who does it help? Who does it hurt? Is it sound policy? Fiscally?

The big surprise to me over the past few months has been that the legislative and judiciary branches seem to have no interest in maintaining power.
It’s just mindblowing and infuriating that we still don’t have any actual contempt orders against this administration. Judges, you have to enforce your orders.

I don't understand how the Times can never determine whether Trump is lying but can say with certainty when he is joking.
President Trump on Tuesday joked to reporters that he would like to be the next Pope. He took it a step further on Saturday, sharing what appeared to be an A.I.-generated photo of himself wearing the traditional vestments of the pontiff.
Trump Posts an Image of Himself as Pope
The president has joked about being the next pontiff, but the image, which appeared to be A.I.-generated, took things a step further and drew some pushback.

It means there is no higher authority or government enforcer that will return us to a Constitutional Republic. It has to be done through politics on-the-ground, and the use of the rights we have while we have them.
Serious question- What does ‘we have to save ourselves’ really mean though??

American civil society is full of abject cowards, that is the issue. The government is a mafia state but it is winning because most American elite institutions are devoid of anything resembling integrity and are folding rather than stand on principles that were little more than marketing.
