I really need people to stop framing things as “while everyone is distracted with thing A so and so is doing thing B, which we should be paying attention to.” Thing A is almost always an issue that is causing tangible real world harm and should not be dismissed or treated as a lesser issue.

This is also dehumanizing. People seem to think it being a “positive” framing makes it ok

I have said this before, but as someone who covered Gamergate, I always read Jesse's stuff on that matter because he did a great job digging into it! He was one of the earliest people writing about weaponized harassment! Very interesting, given the turn things took!
Singal is yet another former friendly acquaintance who lost their mind and/or went to the dark side. People may not remember that before he started asking questions about trans people's right to exist, he was a decent if unremarkable science writer. Used to come on my podcast to talk climate, etc.

The government contracts the private insurance companies to do all the management of benefits for Medicaid. It is infuriating. They must get bonuses for denials because they continue to deny even when they aren’t actually paying.
While we’re giving health insurance companies a closer look, can someone knowledgeable about this enlighten the people on something:

And there’s never a bad time to stop supporting bad actors. There are people I’ve followed over the years who I learned were bad actors. There’s no shame in miscalculating a person’s moral character. But there is shame if you’ve clocked a person as bad and refuse to admit it out of stubbornness.
