Yes and was created as a tool to compare averages of a population and very specifically not meant to apply to individuals as a health marker… until insurance companies learned about it and insisted on using it.

You can just say “hey here is something I think we should pay attention to” without bringing up other real and important issues in a dismissive way. You are shutting people down to your message and often fueling the oppression of others.

Honestly the libs co-opted the word to begin with not surprised to see conservatives do the same they water it down until it’s meaningless to make messaging harder for us while trying to make themselves sound better.

Thank you for telling me! Now I can scroll until the app becomes a terrible place and I leave sad but not devastated.
January 19, 2025 at 6:19 PM
God, that is such a perfect description.
January 19, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Maybe it was a typo but you said you “didn’t” experience grief. But again why are you here saying “I know you’re sad but it’s kind of your own fault for living under capitalism.” You could just let people grieve and start that conversation later or elsewhere.

That’s the point it is the executive choosing not to enforce immigration law via executive order. Like you are literally saying DACA is an example of what I said the executive can do and you are arguing they can’t.
January 19, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Yeah, between genuine connections on the app and it being ripped away while it was still good made this way worse than any of the others.
January 19, 2025 at 5:30 PM
We were attached to the people on the app. If you want to make yourself miserable by emotionally detaching you can. You attempt to be smart and dunk on hurting people is just weird.
January 19, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Law without enforcement is meaningless even the one compelling the executive to enforce laws. If you paid attention when Trump wasn’t president you would realize presidents have always chosen not to enforce certain laws actually DACA is a great example of that.

This app=bluesky

Most of the information about Gaza came from Gaza’s on TikTok. This app is not as good as old Twitter at pushing real time information.

You can click on the post itself and then the three dots at the bottom left and an option should be there or you can go to their profile and click the three dots in the top left and block that way.

How do you propose we avoid depending on corporations under capitalism? Hello look at you dependent on corporations with your phone and your service provider.
January 19, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Yes, everything slowly just not working felt so much worse. But hey here come all the miserable people who are “so much smarter than us” to tell us about our experiences.
January 19, 2025 at 4:29 PM
What’s funny to me is that what you actually know about is from TikTok. You may not have seen it there but the people who told you about it did. This app is similar to twitter but way more asynchronous than Twitter was at its prime. But “your being dramatic” “here I’ll dangle some keys for you”
January 19, 2025 at 4:25 PM
It isn’t people’s first time but that assumption is part of the condescension. Many of us are millennials/gen x who just went through this with Twitter. Difference is we decided to stay human and give a shit about other people rather than sink into misery by pretending we don’t care about anything.
January 19, 2025 at 4:22 PM
Now they are flocking to your post to condescend to people who are hurt. Just shouting from the roof top how miserable of a person they are. My block list just keeps growing.
January 19, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Yeah, it’s been interesting to see how many people don’t understand that the executive branch is in charge of enforcement of the laws. Like they set policies and determines which laws are enforced.
