The Kung Fu man in Metal Black & Gun Frontier is programmer TARABAR, real name Takamasa Hori. His boss on those games, Takatsuna Senba, called him Hori-chan, the basis for evil villain Ho Lee Chan

When he joined Capcom he was the model for Fei Long in the SSF2 key art, making him Bruce Ho Lee Chan

Engagement KPIs have been responsible for infinite scroll UI traps, RecSys radicalization spirals, public shame brigades, and basically every modern ailment novel to the past decade. At some point, you have to recognize that the problem isn't any one technology, it's the metric.
The company essentially turned a dial that made ChatGPT more appealing and made people use it more, but sent some of them into delusional spirals.

OpenAI has since made the chatbot safer, but that comes with a tradeoff: less usage.

Trying to phrase this nicely but somehow I doubt the ANN reviewer who keeps criticizing Gnosia for explaining werewolf strategy ever says the same thing about sports anime

Turns out this was all much ado about nothing and Google isn’t using your Gmail to train AI and if wanna turn all that stuff back on you can get your spam filters back
Looks like the article has been updated to suggest maybe they misread the policy.

I see people complaining that this also disabled their spam filters, though I still see new messages showing up in spam so it's still working fine for me after disabling things.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

ok one last post -- oldheads are always going to "why is the web dying.... how can we get the kids invested in the free and open web"

bro the kids can't read. that's why the web is dying. first things first

"High Cheers originals that were present in the first loctest" seem to have had BST removed from them! (old songs still have 'em, and you'll note that IIDX songs added yesterday have 'em)

I cannot search three words in quotes.

Computers used to be powerful. That power meant something. It was power for making your life better in sovereignty to your own interests.

And now we have this.

i have not watched GDT's Frankenstein but i am firm in my belief that it needs a tie-in adventure/fighting game like the 90s Kenneth Branagh one did on the Sega CD. and they need to keep in elizabeth's roll attack

When you email issues to Obsidian Entertainment (the video game company) their AI support hallucinates and tells you to email Obsidian (the note-taking company) instead.

If the reward function is to reduce the number of touches in a support ticket, this is one way to do it.

this is the other core aspect i did not directly address in my initial answer to the thread; in addition to whether or not you can validly contest the claim, are you willing to give the claimant your personally identifying information so they decide whether or not to pursue that court battle?
If this process still works how it used to, then you have the option of submitting a counter-claim and reinstating your video, upon which the ball is put back in Nintendo's hands. They can then choose to do one of two things: actually sue you, or drop the issue and leave you alone.
