Michael Wolff, Steve Bannon and Jeffrey Epstein taking time out of their day covering up the world's most famous pedophile ring to complain about Ta-Nehesi Coates.

Seattle has had a series of mayors who got elected promising to “finally” use police to crack down on homelessness — the existing policy that every previous mayor has deployed.

Once they get into office they don’t deliver because it doesn’t work. We waste four years and the problem gets worse.
The story about the gun got buried, virtually nobody in any position of influence talked about it. The more significant element of this was money. The business class within Seattle really liked his harsh-crackdowns-on-unhoused-people policy, and they put a lot of resources behind his campaign.

credit to Larry Summers, doing the “you can’t even hit on women anymore” thing while talking to a full pedophile is next level stuff
Larry Summers had an "insight" in an email to Epstein.

I firmly believe the failure to cover Trump’s abhorrent behavior comes from the toxic solipsism of the political media, which is obsessed with being seen as serious, sees Trump’s indiscretions as a kind of sensationalist trap for less sophisticated minds, and applauds itself for not falling for it
Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

I know several people who were in the orbit that he wanted to belong to.
He was essentially a "people collector." In the case of the scientists, and politicians, he had money and obvious "fringe benefits". None of them mistook him for a genius, at least not the actual smart people.

Media standards:

1) No Democratic scandal on par with Trump-Epstein, so it’d be biased and unfair to five it much attention.

2) Trump wouldn’t be shamed into resigning and his cult of personality wouldn’t abandon him, so Trump-Epstein wasn’t worth pursuing.

Way too many think that’s journalism.

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

All jokes aside, I love that three of the most powerful Republicans in the country dragged a single member of Congress into the Situation Room, spent the day turning on the juice but couldn't shake anything loose. Love to see them come away from that empty handed.
the key error was letting Boebert sit in those leather chairs they've got in the situation room- in theater seating there's no way she'll release her grip
