The present global economic system has only one setting: destruction of everything that has true value for profit.

Yet if you point this out, you're assailed by smart arses trying to show how clever they are.
Thousand of bulldozers on the way to flatten over 5 million acres of forest in West Papua and this is just one ship
Such is the rush that even the Indonesia army has been brought in to speed up the deforestation
A shameful day for Indonesia and the world

"The British empire invented and commited crimes so heinous people had to invent new words for them" is a surprisingly large category 👀
The word dystopia was first coined by John Stuart Mill to describe the British governments rule in Ireland

Social networks should have a public service obligation like broadcasters. Require 10% of "discover" feeds to be posts from government, political parties and registered charities.

Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

If you or I put a private sewer discharging waste into one of our rivers or lakes, there'd be total *hell* to pay.

But a whole industry doesn't just get away with constantly polluting, the government makes a priority of fighting for their right to continue.

The result is our rivers are dying.
