The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

I imagine that being one of the best known people in the world alongside being the most insecure man in the world is a special kind of hell to live in. No amount of money can buy him genuine human interaction, happiness or genuine respect.

If you call someone 司马昭 (Sima Zhao) you're saying they have bad intentions of are plotting evil. Sima Zhao was a prime minister who plotted to overthrow the teenaged emperor Cao Mao in the mid 200s. The phrase 司马昭之心路人皆知 - "Sima Zhao's intentions are known to all" - is popular.
