No, please, I cannot take the cold, cruel world today. Leave me be here, alone, in the dark. It is where I belong.

Wait…

Do I smell chicken?
The press wouldn't stand up for one of their own against him, so don't have any illusions about what "too far" might mean for them.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Dershowitz doing his best to ensure he’ll never buy a pierogi anywhere ever again.
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

To anyone thinking about joining the "but there wasn't anything the NYT could have done with those emails!" apologia chorus, please direct your attention the NYT using WH visits from a Parkinson's expert *during the drafting of Parkinson's legislation* to insinuate Biden might have Parkinson's.

Okay yeah lets do it, because it is an interview with two conservative women, which I think is getting missed in some of the drive by dunks. This isn't just Ross's normal crankery, its a window into a specific conservative project aimed at getting women to buy in.

Dick Cheney will be honored with a 21-tower salute
November 4, 2025 at 6:52 PM
It's really important to remember Cheney is far worse and far more responsible for Trump and MAGA than most people realize. His legacy of evil didn't start in 2000--you can go all the way back to the start of his political career in the early 70s when he started working for Steiger and Rumsfeld.
Dick Cheney lived long enough to witness the horrors he had unleashed.

The perfect NYT column. Gutter racism barely disguised by a facade of intellectualism. McWhorter proudly lining up right behind Buckley, Murray, Sullivan, etc.
In Opinion

Early in Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral campaign, “it was easy to assume that failure to learn his name reflected a failure to take him seriously,” John McWhorter writes. But “as a matter of pure linguistics, it would be surprising if people didn’t have trouble with the name Mamdani.”
Opinion | I Now Mispronounce You the Likely Next Mayor of New York City
A lot of people seem to trip over Zohran Mamdani’s name. The reason may not be as simple as it seems.

2024 "objective" election coverage in a nutshell. Neutral facade for Trump, overtly negative toward Harris.
The data show Trump tariffs raising consumer prices by 0.6-0.7%.
Part of that is because Trump exempted many goods. But it was irresponsible to suggest, as Kamala Harris did, that a 10% tariff=a 10% sales tax on Americans. Tariffs are on wholesale prices. They were never going to cut that deep.
How We Lost the Trade War
Tariff uncertainty may be waning, but the damage will persist

"The couple works in the family's farm business."

Left vague deliberately because this is a profile of very wealthy farm *owners*, not blue collar or low income farm *workers*. Media can keep insisting the GOP is now the party of the working class only by pulling this kind of sleight of hand.

Find someone to love you the way Glem loves Nazis.
Glenn Greenwald says Nick Fuentes' authenticity makes it easy for critics to "demonize and attack you by taking these quotes that can sound not just very racist, but very almost Nazi-like and kind of an extermination rhetoric." Um, yea. People who use Nazi-like rhetoric tend to get labeled a Nazi.

There IS a way to reach out to opposition voters without compromising your values to appease them. This is a great example.
I’m fighting for Eric Adams’ voters. Andrew Cuomo is fighting for his donors.

It is exhausting and there is 1. no recognition of it, and 2. no metric to compensate for it.
So exhausting..
