one things that has always made me crazy that i hope more people are finally waking up to now: both in queer and feminist spaces and in general, trans women have been uniquely put on trial and made to answer for the crimes of patriarchy when we are by far some of its biggest victims.

of all the biases in the news media—and there are more of them than ticket to ride expansion packs—the "never give credit to the independent journalist who broke the story" bias is the one that they hate exposed the most because it shows you don't need $2 billion in production value to do journalism

Ah good, I see the new ZA/UM game trailer has brought out the 'There are no auteurs in games, only teams' folks.
Which, especially when talking about indie games, is absolute nonsense. Often there is just one person doing most of the worldbuilding, writing, creative direction and team management.

The general vibe I'm getting from the Dem party is one of sort of...rote apathy. They're refusing to treat any of this with a sense of urgency. Like it's some version of "normal" that just requires the same scoldy rhetoric. It really shows how much people like John Lewis were necessary & unusual.

i think the way Myst and Riven have aged is proof that 3D art can get better with age, especially as aesthetics lose context of the era a game is in.
