i told the truth.
people in that crowd can ridicule the situation, or my “too long won’t read, it’s incomprehensible lol” writing on it... it doesn’t change that this was wrong.

In 1984/5, a spectacular Konami arcade game carved out genre norms for what we'd now call fighting games. Ocean had conversion rights, but were stretched enough that one version ended up subcontracted to a 14-year-old. It still became the UK's bestselling game of 1986.

Ocean’s contract with Konami to port their arcade games under the Imagine label had quickly worked well with Hyper Sports. Even if it did end up competing with Ocean’s own Daley Thompson’s Decathlo…

I just want to put this out into the universe.

If you are a homebrew developer of a GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SMS, MD/Genesis, N64, or PS1 game with a free version or a free demo of you game, I’d love to ship it with SuperStation as a physical or digital demo disk.
This is a very impressive PS1 game by @eliasdaler.bsky.social running on SuperStation.

i already judged in a couple of festivals this year & I’m about to for another big thing 😅, so i feel like its safe to say…
good experimental work (those indie gems) are very much alive and well. that space just needs more platform and attention, because too many people are completely unaware of it.

“Games still carry a lot of this type of energy, creative curiosity, or vision.
You can see with most of my examples here, how much story informs purpose. It inspires curiosity.

All that said, if we look past established rules and expectations, that’s what is exciting about video games.”

I’ve noticed this like, conscience soothing, mental gymnastics of “I can’t accept liking a predator so I need to do everything I can do prove this person isn’t a predator and the people who they victimized are the cause of my distress”

It’s fucking wild and I’m sorry this keeps happening to you.

I keep thinking about how the actors and everyone decided that Neil Gaiman's behavior was just so horrific that they all could no longer participate in anything he had an part in creating anymore.

Why can't games do the same thing?
November 7, 2025 at 11:18 AM
i don’t get why, if you like the work of a known predator, do you need to keep calling the victims of that predator a liar and attacking them?
like can’t you just consume that media without acting like you have to protect the moral purity of it, or protect the creepy person that made it?

games with not only branching narratives but layered / nesting / "windowed" interactions…cool!

> The story here is structured with various small game engines being embedded into eachother (they’re all HTML based, so things like iframe)… Bitsy is embedded in Twine, and all that is running in Unreal.
