Climate change literacy is a serious threat to our planetary health.
Many people have no idea what the major contributors to emissions may be.
Check out the amazing work of this group of you haven’t already.
If food waste were a country, it would be the world’s third-largest emitter of greenhouse gases, after China and the U.S. 😱

Alberta teachers deserve better working conditions and better pay! Danielle Smith and the UCP are an embarrassment and they don’t care about our kids education! Shameful.

Enough.

Awesome to see this billboard up in Vancouver.
Was really incredible to work with the people at @visionzerovancouver.ca to bring this to life.

With rents soaring and home ownership increasingly out of reach, the federal government must address the housing crisis in the upcoming budget. That means dramatically scaling up the construction of non-market homes of all types, including co-op, student, senior and supportive housing.

The superintendent they just kidnapped is a former Olympic athlete who runs footraces with the kids from his schools while wearing a maroon suit and a bowtie. This is quite simply about the people in power feeling threatened by Black excellence.
This is the man that ICE just detained. This isn't about catching criminals, it is about Ethnic cleansing www.iowapublicradio.org/news-from-np...

I used to frequent a Whole Foods cafe in Vancouver. The coffee was excellent, staff very friendly and swift. The baking was also really decent and a reasonable price.
Fast forward to today. Baking has gone to 3/10. No more “own cup” discount, understaffed, lamer in every way except the great staff.

If you're in a market with either a Sinclair or Nexstar station (or both) -- do this!

Watch the local news tonight. Write down the advertisers. Call them tomorrow!
Well, there it is. Sinclair is digging in for a fight, so please help push back -- find stations in your area, watch their local news to see what ads they run, then write those advertisers to tell them you're boycotting as long as they're on a Sinclair station.

Team of Traffic Control in my neighbourhood enforcing bus lanes and speeding westbound on E 41st this morning. Really happy to see that…However, I’d rather see automated cameras for bus lanes and speed along 41st. One camera versus four officers plus volunteers.

Refusing to hand your money over to companies and oligarchs whose behaviors suck should be a very common practice, and yet it’s still treated by many as some sort of revolutionary pipe-dream.

You can do it. The sacrifice is minimal. The reward is big.

We need more journalists pointing this sort of thing out in Canada. We are not immune. If nothing else a positive thing to come out of the authoritarian regime next door we should be taking a hard look at ourselves
Jimmy Kimmel is a symptom of a huge problem: a concentrated media ecosystem beholden to corporate whims.

Canadian media struggles with this too.

Consider Global News' management making Ben Mulroney a top political host.

It's a worryingly partisan decision, especially given what I just uncovered:
