As a reminder, because McIver had the temerity to attempt oversight of ICE in her own district, the regime is actively prosecuting her and threatening her with a long prison sentence. But she's not backing down.
HOOOOOO boy.

Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.): "Do you consider yourself a religious man?"

Lyons: "Yes ma'am."

McIver: "How do you think Judgement Day will work for you with so much blood on your hands?"

"Do you think you're going to hell, Mr. Lyons?"

Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

It is absolutely crucial to understand that the idiotic version of a market economy which we all live under makes 99.9% of us poorer, more stressed, and just generally worse off than we would otherwise be.

It doesn't have to be this way. It really doesn't.

Lied. The word is lied. Repeatedly.

I’m a Knicks fan and the owner of Madison Square Garden is also a Trumpster so I share your love for a team that has really bad ownership.

The fact that when the Seahawks are sold, the proceeds will go to charity truly means that in every way, shape and form, the good guys won last night.

(Forbes seems mad about a billionaire not getting richer).
The Seahawks Are Super Bowl Champs — But Their Owner Can’t Profit From The Big Win
As executor of her late brother’s estate, Jody Allen led Seattle to its second title. NFL rules, however, may cut short the celebration by forcing the team to hit the market.

I also saw three people on the subway watching clips from the Benito Bowl this morning, so the 135 million number is also low.

Abolish this.

So it's lost about 65 million dollars despite a campaign to literally force people to watch it. Well done.

None of us, anywhere, can be ok with this.

Amidst all the desperate celebrity slop at the Super Bowl, the Benito Bowl was an actual history lesson.

(which is why they hate it).
Not at all surprised to learn that Bad Bunny has a historical adviser. His halftime show was a reminder that our history and culture are deeply intertwined with the rest of the western hemisphere. We should think of his performance as part of #America250. #SuperBowl

Pop star Bad Bunny needed a Puerto Rican history scholar. UW–Madison had just the one.
Bad Bunny collaborated with UW–Madison history professor Jorell Meléndez-Badillo on Puerto Rican narratives that accompany the new album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

I think when you speak with courage and conviction repeatedly, then eventually the polls shift sharply in your direction. One thing the Democrats have gotten wrong since time immemorial.

Um um um, I know why!

Maybe because he's the one actually running for re-election and reading opinion polls on how much of a winning position ABOLISH ICE really is.

I do think there's a curse on sports teams owned by trumpsters preventing them from winning it all.

Which is also why the Knicks won't win it all. Madison Square Garden needs karmic purification.

Multiple people on the subway this morning were watching clips from the Bad Bunny halftime show, aka the Benito Bowl.

It’s nice to know what’s going on in the “real America.”

Benito is a threat b/c he makes art so alluring and enjoyable you want to understand everything about it and then you end up learning about sugar and slavery and colonialism and the Taínos and Hawaii and then you probably have some thoughts of your own, and that's why art is powerful and dangerous

The difference between the start of the internet and the current AI cocaine frenzy is I don’t remember feeling forced and prodded so hard to use the internet. It was new, cool, connective. We WANTED to use it.

AI is more like: they NEED us to use it.

That difference says everything.

It was truly beautiful.

Surprisingly so, given the vacuum of celebrities selling their souls in an endless pit of commercial nothingness.
That was hands down the best halftime show ever. It was filled with so many references to Puerto Rican culture and history. The sugarcane fields, the casita, the streets of NYC, and the power lines. All of it resonated so much. Boricua por siempre.

Seguimos aquí. 🇵🇷
