This is the one angle of the cave that intrigues me.
Whatever will Trump do? Ending the shutdown means bringing back the House for a vote on the Epstein files.

If it turns out Chuck Schumer is really just Mitch McConnell smirking under a mask, it wouldn't surprise me one little bit.

They're all about to find out, and it's not going to be predictable what happens next (except it's a situation perfectly designed for more leaders like Mamdani and AOC to emerge all over the map).
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Siri, show me a video of a guy no one should ever capitulate to.
This was pretty brutal

My support is going to be on a candidate-by-candidate basis going forward, and will be based on you not taking money from corporate super PACs or AIPAC.

Feels utterly useless to give you either my time or money if theirs is going to matter to you more.

in my dream scenario, they all get primaried and lose while we also empower the working families party to become a true third party that speaks for the people.

A tee-shirt that says Fuck Chuck in Mamdani campaign font will instantly become the bestselling t-shirt in nyc history.

These 8 Senators sold us out to Trump:
Hassan
King
Cortez-Masto
Shaheen
Kaine
Fetterman
Durbin
Rosen

Understand This Fact: Chuck Schumer is behind this. None of these 8 are up for reelection in 2026. Schumer asked them vote yes—they agreed. He's such a coward that he folded and won't even own it.

Personally, I’ve lost the ability to believe the incompetence of Democratic Party leadership is unintentional.
November 10, 2025 at 3:45 AM
At the very least, we all understand how the Democratic Party lost the country to a far-right political movement peddling policies that only ever appealed to a small minority of people.

I feel like if you put in all this work to get someone elected to represent you, and then you *still* have to call them every time they are about to do something incredibly foolish to beg them not to...maybe that wasn't the right person (or party) to represent you from the start.

The nightmare since 2015 for me hasn't been trump. There'll always be sociopaths like him.

It's been the structures that were supposed to protect us from him—the news media and the opposition party leadership top the list—that have turned out to be so very complicit.

That's the nightmare.

My third grade daughter negotiates more intelligently for five more minutes of screen time than Chuck Schumer negotiates for incredibly popular policy positions.

🚨 We’re hearing that Senate Democrats are on the verge of caving to Trump in another “Schumer Surrender.”

That means your Democratic senators need to hear from you right now.

If you have 1-2 Democratic Senators, ESPECIALLY any of these eight (and Schumer, who needs to retire yesterday), please CALL THEIR OFFICE tonight and tell them not to cave.
I called and left VM - mine stood strong but I asked them to talk to their colleagues.

Shaheen isn’t even running for re-election- she’s shitting on her colleagues and letting them clean up the mess.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Chicagoans never stop. I was just watching a live stream of a press conference held by community members in front of FBI headquarters. In the rain in the dark. Umbrellas at hand they are calling for the release of 6 people taken by ICE, 3 also arrested by CPD. They never stop fighting.

According to Abigail Disney, Sean Duffy could cut 12% of air travel by grounding private planes. Commercial air travel would be fine. Let that sink in.
