Apparently, inflation is bad, but we must impose tariffs to raise the cost of cheap imports so people buy expensive American goods. We can re-shore manufacturing, but to be cost competitive, we have to fully automate factories, replacing American workers with robots.

my daughter's preschool shares a building with a church, and once a week, that church has a farmers market type thing where they give fresh vegetables and food to folks in the community who need it.

if that is the stuff American churches primarily did, things would be way more chill.
