Oh man, this guy pulled off a grand caper on the CCP. Absolute legend.
The story behind, Qi Hong, the man who just pulled off an incredible act of protest in China is amazing and inspiring and we should all be asking why aren't we being as brave now, while the repercussions are less than they will be. 🎁 www.nytimes.com/2025/09/02/b...

You beat their ass in elections, a thing Democrats can and have done. Because yeah, standing for nothing but owning the libs is bad, and they should lose because of it, and all efforts should, in my view, center on “them losing”
okay but what do you do to change the republicans? they are a party of pure evil, they stand for nothing but malice and destruction and revel in it. yelling at them will just have them going "heh, the libs are triggered"

Do you want to win elections or do you want to be right? Because you can start from the latter and work to the former but there’s serious work involved and yes, you’ll have to appeal to white males.

just saw a group of masked men stuffing masked ICE agents into an unmarked car, who were saying "we're ICE we're ICE!" but the abductors shouted to the crowd "no we're ICE!" no one knew who was ICE, so no one in the crowd said anything.

Once again, we have data on this - you can poll Americans, ask if they think Kamala was to their right, & get a number of those who do

It's 6%
The fundamental problem with the “Kamala was seen as too right-wing by voters” narrative is that the average American assumed she was far left because she was a black woman and refused to work their remaining brain cell any further.
Dude, votes are earned not owed. I'm also super fucking pissed that Kamala lost. But you know, who's to blame for that? Kamala and her shitty awful, right wing campaign. She literally ran as Republican-lite to try and win over Republicans. You shouldn't be surprised that people rejected that notion.

Personally I am of the opinion that video games rot your brain. However, so does everything else. In fact, everything else is worse. Video games actually are the slowest means towards your inevitable and total brain rot.

Trump/Musk and the entire GOP has spent the last four months systematically liquidating disease cure research in the United States. Lots of critical cure studies shuttered mid-way through. Research shutdown everywhere. It's all hands on deck to prevent new treatments for cancer, ahlzeimers etc.
You start to get why they're the pro-cancer party
Markwayne Mullin: "It's interesting the timing of them releasing the cancer. It seems like since the Hur tapes were released, they're like, 'Hey wait, it might be a good time to distract the American people and talk about his cancer.'"

I am a Northwestern faculty impacted just how you describe. My research - including an active trial
of cancer / cardiac disease prevention, part of a large national network - has been frozen, despite a notice of award for our renewal. Year 6 of a 6 year study. We are completely in the dark.

This $80 game discourse truly has me perplexed. On one hand, nobody, self included, wants to pay *more* for games, right? But am I mad at it? No, because some of these games are easily worth that and then some. If I could go back and pay $80 for Witcher 3 or GTA V? I wouldn't have even hesitated.

What is the lifespan of software? What if you make software that's silly and full of whimsy? Will people remember it? I don't really care what the "political consequences" are of fighting for the proposition that *everyone* is entitled to due process before they are removed from the United States and sent to a Salvadoran prison.

It's not really a principle if you only adhere to it when it's politically expedient.
