This will go unstated during all the coverage of Tyler Robinson, but once again we have a case where the shooter was apprehended not because of the competence of the FBI or law enforcement, but because someone turned him in. The expensive and intrusive mass surveillance tools didn’t do a thing here.

I think it's totally possible to be horrified by gun violence in this country and also not be bothered that someone who advocated for violence against, honestly, the majority of this country, is dead.
