The utter preposterousness of this interview. A media figure talking about BBC bias while describing the president as his "friend". A child could see trough it.
It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

Absolutely right.

And Starmer and Streeting are stepping up the privatisation of the NHS, which means boosting the stranglehold of private health companies, many of which are ultimately US-based.

Who gave Labour permission to do this?

Because it wasn’t voters.
Both are under attack by corporate America.
Not necessarily by Politicians per se but they’re the proxy soldiers for corporations

If Reeves can consider breaking income tax manifesto promise then she should prioritise breaking the ridiculous Brexit red lines over rejoining the or “a” Customs Union and the Single Market. Labour would be supported by @libdems.org.uk @snp.org @greenparty.org.uk & @plaidcymru.bsky.social

The important thing here is simply to use the word "peaceful" a single time in a speech that runs over an hour, despite the fact that you've told the angry armed mob in front of you—which you know is armed—to be "wild" and "fight" and told them to do something they can't possibly do without violence

Absolutely right. I criticise BBC News, because we need it to be as good as we know it can be. People like Farage criticise the BBC, because they work for its competitors and don't want it to exist.
🎯 Davey is spot on. "We can have criticism of the BBC, but within that, we need to recognise how valuable an institution it is [and how] precious to our country. And that's one of the reasons why people like President Trump and Nigel Farage, want to undermine the BBC." 👏🏽~AA

Some preliminary points:

Trump is unlikely to succeed in a claim for defamation against the BBC (on information available).

Even if he succeeded, damages for this alleged defamation would be no more than about £50k, probably less. Even the worst libels, now no more than about £100k.

£1bn? No way.
