Friends! It’s #ArmisticeDay which is a day to celebrate peace, friendship and love. When Baby Dog needs love and comfort (such as here, when his allergies are bothering him) I am the one he comes to because we are Best Friends. Where do you find comfort and love when you need it? Please tell us 🌺

The last Belgian soldier to be killed during WWI was a private called Marcel Terfve. He was shot at 10.42 on 11/11 by a German machine gun near the Gent-Terneuzen canal. He in the Belgian army since 1914 and sadly almost made it throught the entire war #armisticeday #LestWeForget

I took this photo when I visited the grave of my great-grandfather Percy Lucas, killed in the Battle of the Somme in 1916. I find it poignant that a river associated with so much bloodshed a century ago is now so calm & beautiful. #ArmisticeDay #WeWillRememberThem #LestWeForget

During WWI, The ecclesiastical publishers Mowbrays produced a pro-forma for parishes to record the boys who wouldn't come back. Most were added to as the War progressed, though this one at Bruisyard, Suffolk, seems to have been filled in at the end of the War. #ArmisticeDay
