I keep thinking about the Steam Machine and how I am seriously tempted to buy two: one as an emulation box and one as my daily driver PC.

It'd be nowhere near my current PC (i7-13700K and 3080 Ti), but I don't use all that power anyways and I care about ergonomics more than benchmarks these days...

Honestly I think the most important thing to come out of Valve’s announcement today was that they actually do understand the concept of “3”.

Just because he’s the example that seemingly everybody is using, at this point it would actually be fucking hilarious if Bill Clinton wasn’t in those files.
"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

You know, Apple has the money, the R&D, and the naming rights to pull it off. They could really disrupt the console gaming market by announcing the Apple NeXTbox.

These are the dumb thoughts that I have when waiting on a meeting to start.

So Valve is making a game console. That's what this is.

It's a console.

I'm fine with that. Hell, I'm even kinda excited by the idea of it. But, still... that's a console.
Valve has unveiled a console-like Steam Machine, a VR and non-VR "streaming-first" headset called Steam Frame, and a new Steam Controller. More details here: gameinformer.com/2025/11/12/v...

We don’t use generative AI at Strange Scaffold and I can confirm that a *lot* of other studios are not—whether indie or AAA.

Get outta here with this normalization bullshit.

I guess I'm not buying Pokopia, then.

As a developer I understand that there are countless factors that go into deciding whether to release physically or not, and I don't begrudge anyone who makes that decision.

As a consumer, though... look. I don't ask for much, but I want the game on the card.

I expect the comments will go great (also using Pokemon Pokopia as an example of key card)

Wasn't the conceit of "Casino Royale" that they were "rebooting" Bond by going back to his beginnings?

Just reboot him again. And again and again. Make every actor's Bond their own pocket continuity.

I am genuinely flummoxed by how Amazon is having such a hard time with this.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Today is Veteran's Day in America so here is 17-year-old me as a fresh-faced just-graduated from OSUT 31B (MP).

Like many veterans, I have a complicated relationship with my time in the military. On the one hand, it shape me into who I am today. On the other hand, it shaped me into who I am today.

Me, the bad boy of games narrative: No.

No it does not.

I introduced myself and the bouncer laughed. I showed him my business card shaped like a text bubble that had "Ludonarrative Dissonance is my Shizzonance" embossed on the back and he laughed harder.

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

Yeah, and so is chasing magnesium citrate with Everclear.

I wouldn't recommend it, tho.

A while back somebody on here - I forget who - posed a question to writers: “if you say you hate writing, why?”

It is a question that I have pondered on-and-off for months now and I’ve finally decided to answer it.

By writing about it.

On my blog.

Which is finally fixed.

Coming soon(TM).

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
November 10, 2025 at 12:56 AM
Senate Democrats (@democrats.senate.gov) are expertly skilled at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It's genuinely impressive how inept they really are.

The shutdown is wildly unpopular, and everyone blames the GOP. Yet here we are, with Dems eager to cast a vote to kill your healthcare.
I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them
