I'm still thinking about that stupid-ass MAHA commercial where Mike Tyson admitted to eating 8 quarts of ice cream a day but still blamed processed foods for his weight gain.

"She’s a “writer” the same way I’m a “chef” when I pull a frozen dinner out of the fucking microwave. Someone else did all the work and packaged it together. I just hit the buttons and set the time."

Mr. Wendig is in rare form with this one - and he's 100% indisputably correct.

If I’m Drake Maye I would be demanding an apology from my offensive line. I expected Seattle to win but that O-Line has absolutely failed him tonight.

Thank God for Bad Bunny because this game is damn-near unwatchable.

The Super Bowl is chock full of AI ads and, from the bottom of my heart, I hope every single company humoring this shit goes bankrupt in glorious fashion, and that the marketing firms responsible for pitching this fuck-awful slop spends the rest of their miserable days fighting off lawsuits.

Introducing the “AI-BOROS”: the few companies at the ‘top’ of the economy handing each other billions of (debt-ridden) dollars for a product that both doesn’t exist AND doesn’t make any money.

and we ALL get to go broke when it inevitably implodes ha ha i love it here!!!

The Super Bowl is a prominent pat of American culture that we enjoy in many different ways, from getting together with friends to watch it to announcing publicly that we will not be watching it and don‘t even watch football at all.

Finally getting around to watching “Winning Time” and while the show is tremendously put together, I can see why Jerry West wanted to go to war with HBO over his portrayal.

Among the documents in the Epstein files is a letter from the U.S. Attorney’s Office announcing the death of Jeffrey Epstein dated August 9th, 2019.

Jeffrey Epstein died on August 10th, 2019.

It could be a simple administrative fuck-up. That’d be a change of pace.

Maybe it's because I was raised Catholic, but "original sin" was never treated as the "you're born guilty, repent" stain on our soul that some denominations see it. We viewed it more as the origin story for evil, a kind of "humans can be dicks - here's why!"

Calvinism, on the other hand... ho boy.
I've had a few benzos and I'm ready to just come out and say it: "Original Sin" is the absolute worst religious concept that humanity ever invented

And that's a competitive category

"There's a new movie adaptation of The House of the Dead."

Oh, sweet.

"Starring Isabela Merced."

Oh, sweet!

"And directed by Paul W.S. Anderson."

Oh... oh.
Isabela Merced will star in a movie adaptation of Sega’s ‘THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD’ video game.

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

“our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?
