I just think you should be skeptical of someone whose website has more links to "ways to give me money" than it does "things I've done/made"
do you think being "the bad boy of games narrative" gets you into the VIP section at the club

Me, the bad boy of games narrative: No.
No it does not.
I introduced myself and the bouncer laughed. I showed him my business card shaped like a text bubble that had "Ludonarrative Dissonance is my Shizzonance" embossed on the back and he laughed harder.

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

"Square Enix pivoting their QA to AI is a bold decision!"
Yeah, and so is chasing magnesium citrate with Everclear.
I wouldn't recommend it, tho.

A while back somebody on here - I forget who - posed a question to writers: “if you say you hate writing, why?”
It is a question that I have pondered on-and-off for months now and I’ve finally decided to answer it.
By writing about it.
On my blog.
Which is finally fixed.
Coming soon(TM).

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

Senate Democrats (@democrats.senate.gov) are expertly skilled at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It's genuinely impressive how inept they really are.
The shutdown is wildly unpopular, and everyone blames the GOP. Yet here we are, with Dems eager to cast a vote to kill your healthcare.

I think Senate folders are significantly underestimating how fucking angry Democratic voters are at them

I don’t often watch my friends’s YouTube videos (personal rule; I like seeing friends as friends, not “content creators I’m friends with”) but I was curious.
This is fantastic work by Alanah, and is the first time I’ve seen anyone paint a complete picture of the players in EA’s imminent purchase.

Here’s my breakdown of EA’s pending sale… to Saudi Arabia… and why this is much, much bigger than video games. I’m late to this from a ‘news’ perspective obviously, but it’s because I worked on this video for about a month.

oh so these people do pay attention to who politicians follow on social media, they just don’t care that the vice president follows a bunch of actual neo-nazis
Axios tried to bust James Talarico for following adult content creators on Instagram and I'm genuinely impressed by his campaign's response

Are we ready to explore the idea that Geoff Keighley's relevance was in no small part manufactured by game industry marketing/PR peeps in the late 2000s who wanted to rub shoulders with C-list celebrities and saw a chance to do so in "that game journalist they knew" who scored a gig with Spike TV?
A note about the TGAs worth remembering as this Future Class story unfolds: it’s a marketing beat, consumer-facing, and voted on by media/influencers. Developers are, by design, not included or considered in the structure. Which feels bad! www.polygon.com/explained/49...

I still have friends at BioWare and I will forever be grateful to them for giving me my start in this industry, but at the same time... I remember when N7 Day was accompanied by announcements of comic books and clothing lines, and now it's literally "don't worry we're still making it!"
I hold hope.

I'm not about to drop $1,500 for the "privilege" of spending $3,500+ to stay in San Francisco for a week.
