This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.

Media execs have fallen prey to a propaganda and harassment campaign that has completely divorced them from what people actually want right now.

Both their insular information environments (group chats, podcasts) and ambient noise (Twitter reactionaries) have put them in a very stupid bubble.
currently at record-high search interest for canceling disney plus. pulling kimmel is a bigger deal to the company's bottom line than any of the "woke" scandals of the past 5 years. i think news & entertainment corp execs need put more work into understanding their audience, & get off twitter

They just tear-gassed us. They tried to run us over in a van holding a peaceful protester. They shot us with pepper balls. They dragged another protester into the facility.
moments ago, ice agents again came out of the broadview detention/“professing” facility to escort a silver suv out of the lot.

one of the agents picked up and threw congressional candidate kat abughazaleh to the ground.

If your political faction has control of the federal government and even begins to make culture war gains, it’s important to assume that trajectory will continue forever and wildly overplay your hand during the year leading up to the already-disadvantageous midterm elections.

If you’ve ever wondered why crime is higher in majority-Black, Democrat-controlled cities, you can just look at the data.

Spoiler alert: it’s not.
Are Democrat-Controlled Black Cities More Violent? Here's What the Data Says
According to conventional (racist) wisdom, Democrat-controlled, majority Black cities are being destroyed by violent crime. But is it true?

Would they be able to get away with all this if we didnt have to go to work? Do work, rent and bills only exist to produce profit, or is it just as importantly a function of social pacification, punishment and control? Is the economy just about money, or is it also about power?

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

The spokesperson for ANTIFA could not be reached for comment.
Trump just designated “Antifa” as a terrorist organization, on par with ISIS and Al Qaeda. As a reminder, “antifa” is short for “antifascist”.

They will use this lie to surveil, imprison, and kill Americans on the left.

This may be our Reichstag Fire moment. Wake up.

Too bad the GOP effectively criminalized studying how information moves online and news orgs laid off and demonized all the reporters who covered the burgeoning online accelerationist performative death cults. All of that work was somehow "censorship" that needed to be stopped. Now we're here.

Liberals are doing the right’s job for it.

By lionizing Charlie Kirk and refusing to acknowledge his real political project, they’re giving power to the right’s completely predictable effort to use his death to forward their goal of an authoritarian, fascist state.

Political violence is abhorrent. I have not celebrated Kirk's death.

But Newsom calling for his followers to "continue Charlie Kirk's work," someone who praised stoning gay people as "god's perfect law," who called for men to "take care of" trans people like they did in the 50s and 60s, is not it.

We have a bit of a natural experiment here. Compare the tone, quantity and duration of Charlie Kirk coverage with that of the two Dem lawmakers gunned down in their homes in Minnesota 6 months ago. May be revealing.

man i wonder how eugenicist and white supremacist Jordan Lasker (aka Cremieux) managed to get his story into the New York Times. i'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Benjamin Ryan, who is bylined on that story, is a reader of his work? such an interesting coincidence!
