The only thing that actually unites all these folks are critical of Israel. Some are antisemitic and some aren’t, but that’s barely relevant here.

I think more than anything else AI feels like a miracle to people with questionable literacy because it can read and write for you, and a lot of us who are highly literate underestimate how many of our society's leaders, esp in business, struggle with literacy.
It's pretty much mandatory at work that I appear to be using it, so I've doe a few functional things with it, and it's a moderate time-saver if used right. But nowhere near worth it's stock value, energy cost.
Then I realize there's a lot of people who simply can't write coherent paragraphs.

This was just growing up in Appalachia
We live in a weird country where crunchies and weird off grid religious fundamentalists have infinitely more in common with each other than everyone else yet if you say that very obvious fact to people they'll look at you like a lizard because people can't see past cultural affectation lol.

DC absolutely needs statehood so that the people who live there aren't ruled by goons they never elected. A genuine ongoing scandal and absolute betrayal of the principles of the country.
