How To Dance
This is what I looked like the last time I went out dancing the other weekend. I bought this purple denim vest years ago and it was always really big on me...

“Camera doorbells are social cancer as a technology, breaking down social solidarity and further encouraging people to see strangers with suspicion.”
Christmas is coming, and the Black Friday sales signal we’re in peak gift-buying season.

When you’re picking out gifts for friends and family this year, there’s a whole slew of tech products that are better to avoid. I put together a guide to help you through it.

Reject any peer pressure to be cool or popular even if it sucks in the short term because you will not want to end up as someone who peaked in high school.
What is one piece of advice you would give someone in high school?

Been thinking about it for a few days and I’ve decided “I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too” is the greatest joke of all time.

People who are scared of big cities have it backward. The closer you are to your neighbors the better you are at seeing them as human. The people who are scared of “random shootings” in the cities are also sniping lost teens in their driveways in the exurbs.
Still thinking about this story. Imagine how cooked your brain has to be on Fox News -- how terrified you have to be, every day in your isolated suburban castle -- to start *shooting* when you see brown people at your door, before the door is even open. We're such a nation of terrified cowards.

People get easily distracted by bells and whistles (I’m no exception). Inception is a movie about a man struggling with an immense amount of grief. Once you realize that everything else in it clicks into place.
does anyone else remember the way inception was sold as this super confusing movie? and that newspapers were printing visual guides on what the plot was? and then you saw the movie and it was actually really straight forward?

what was that about

I don’t usually partake but the group chat that’s me, my wife, and her boomer Bergen County relatives is totally libbing out this morning. We will return to our regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.

Getting hit in the chest from point blank range with a footlong sub and an enormous Peckinpah-style squib of sweet onion teriyaki sauce explodes from my chest.
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

Bad news for Americans whose idea of “freedom” is being able to buy whatever they want (which is most of us)

We live in the most evil country in the world.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

There’s a channel on Roku that just shows old episodes of Top Gear 24/7 and, while Jeremy Clarkson is a huge asshole, and I don’t care about cars, this is unfortunately the greatest television show of all time.

Conservative individualism in a nutshell: the same people who said we need mass deportation so we can take care of “our own” are cheering on the suspension of SNAP because now they don’t want other people to receive “handouts.” They proudly hate other people. It’s a murderous, anti-society ideology.

Too many raw milk YouTube podcast crazy ass white boys on this team. Way too many.
Look we've all tried to avoid saying it but the truth is this Phillies team is just mentally soft. They whine when things aren't going their way, they pout if they don't get the their at-bats, and when they hit a rut they just lay in there and die rather than claw out of it.
