Never a great idea to tell people what rattles you online but I hate how every time I post about the many horrors related to freebirthing I get some bright spark saying something about "Darwin awards". Wow you really owned all those dead newborns! Genuinely disgusts me, we are not on the same team

It's so well put too, like I love this phrasing re: nonbinary people

"comfortable in spaces that focus on and are driven by the experiences of girls".

hell yeah!

HUMAN: A fish. You can eat them.
EARLY CAT: Mine now. I need it. I need the fish. Without fish I die. Gimmie fish.

This is why I support freedom of expression.

Appropriately, it is the chaos of a system that supports free speech that gives rise to the grand process of democratic self-governance and the ideally upward arc of human progress and flourishing.

This is fucked up & factually incorrect.

1. MAGA is a fully American thing. We need to own our own shit, not exotify it.

2. MAGA is GLUTTED with suburban middle-class-and-higher ppl. It ain't hillbilly SHIT.

✨️Stop using "rural" as shorthand for "bigot."✨️

One of my professors questioned why my bathroom breaks took longer. He was shocked to learn there were no women's restrooms on the same floor as our class.
As of 2001 the mechanical engineering building at Michigan Tech didn't have women's restrooms on every floor. I think it was basically every other floor, but i only did a year there
Toilets have often been used as a weapon to make it difficult for women to participate in science. This was Lise Meitner's experience in 1907. (From Wikipedia) #WomenInSTEM 🧪

Pointed out by my friend @carloshasanax.bsky.social . There's something weird and unsettling about a fairly homogeneous culture spread out across Europe that then collapses into an orgy of genocide.

Making the spreadsheet is the most fun part of a big holiday meal.
Make a spreadsheet. List cooking times (and resting for protein), device (oven, crock pot, stove top, smoker, grill, etc) and temperatures. Work backwards from when dinner is ready. Project manage this fucker.

most people just aren’t going to magically know how to juggle all those dishes just because it’s a holiday. there’s no shame in doing a couple of things really well

I have two things I would really like people to internalize about the fashion industry/garment manufacturing, and they are:

1. Mass manufactured clothes are only ever intended to fit "good enough," and;

2. Everything you wear was made by actual human people.

One more skeet for Edmund Fitzgerald Day. Behind this historical marker is the famed Whitefish Bay. Today the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Paradise, Mich., rang the recovered bell 31 times, 29 for the victims of the wreck, once for all Great Lakes shipwreck victims, and once for Gordon Lightfoot.
