An ICE agent was caught removing a sign marking an ICE kidnapping in DC last week! Do we think he did it out of anger, embarrassment, or most appropriately shame? If you think what you’re doing is right, why are you trying to hide the evidence? 👀

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

The Court once said the government "suffers a form of irreparable injury" when blocked from implementing statutes

But recently the Court's been turning the idea that the govt should be able to *apply laws into the idea that the govt shouldnt have to *follow laws

We really do have two different kinds of law now: District Court law (aka the law), and Supreme Court "law" (aka the U.S. House of Lords upholding Trump's personalist regime)
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do, but I am confident that at the District Court level it is still the case that the Pentagon cannot recall a sitting US Senator to active duty in order to court martial him for something he said. Article 1, Section 6, among other constitutional provisions.

Can we talk about the fact that there's a company that wants to block out the sun AND a company that wants to put mirrors in space so you can aim sunbeams in the middle of the night if you want to and I need EVERYBODY to quit torment-nexusing the sky?
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

Incredible reporting on the 1930s-style union-busting going on at Starbucks, including Schulz’s personal complicity and the company’s SHOCK, SHOCK I TELL YOU that $15.25/hr part-time with hours kept just under the threshold for benefits isn’t enough to satisfy some “partners”
How Starbucks tried to quash union activity in Colorado
The coffee giant shuttered a store in Colorado Springs in 2022 shortly after its workers voted to unionize. A federal agency later ordered Starbucks to reopen that store, along with 22 others.

I’ve been noticing this as well, and it’s really troubling, particularly having lived through the 90s/00s extreme thinness hell.
So apparently a lot of female celebrities are extremely skinny right now, reminding people of the "heroin chic" beauty standard of the 90s.

I'm not going to share pictures - I feel uncomfortable being like "look at these bodies, they're bad" even when what I'm critiquing is not the bodies
