The Buffy Season 2 premiere aired 28 years ago. That means Buffy Season 2 is now as far in the past as the Moon landing was when it aired.

Saying what you expect invariably says more about you than anything else.
*facepalm*

As a general rule of life, never say to any author “I wouldn’t expect a [genre] author to know anything about [topic.]”

You will, without fail, discover that a statistically improbably number of people in that genre grew up there/did their thesis on it/have one in their lap.
My fellow men (and sadly, yes, it's mostly men who do this), don't do this.

"We need people to do the jobs Americans are too spoiled to do"

^^ominous. They're going to amp convict leasing using this logic.

Hell, at this point, I wouldn't rule out an effort to bring chattel slavery back
“The whole thing is screwed up,” said John Painter, a three-time Trump voter who runs an organic dairy farm in Westfield. “We need people to do the jobs Americans are too spoiled to do.”

Incredible.
'The whole thing is screwed up': Farmers in deep-red Pennsylvania struggle to find workers
They're pushing lawmakers to move faster on a farm labor solution, even as the president cracks down on immigration.

I am having a hard time reconciling "Charlie Kirk was a fierce advocate of open dialogue and free expression" with "we must identify and persecute everyone who is insufficiently mournful"
After Charlie Kirk's death, teachers and professors nationwide fired or disciplined over social media posts
At least a dozen faculty and staff have faced fallout over insensitive comments online.

Discovering computer as an adult makes you go crazy. Discovering computer as a baby makes you go crazy. In all of human history, there will only ever be one generation to discover computer at the correct age: 13
The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

If you, an atheist, make a statement about religion as a whole, & someone from a non-Christian religion says, "Actually, we don't believe that or practice that way," the correct response is, "Huh, I didn't realize that," & NOT "nuh-uh, you're in denial about your own faith that I've never studied."
