My “conservative” friend admitted to me that he is not pleased with the way that ICE is doing things. He thinks they are just spreading fear and not really working immigration control.

That’s by design. Billionaires monetize rage bait, and it has the added bonus of keeping us fighting with each other while they rob us blind. But one day soon, all the anger from the culture wars they’ve cultivated to distract us from the class war will be turned on them.
One of the biggest revelations of the social media age imo is how much people are addicted to getting mad, so much so that they'll actively create reasons when there are none.
