one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

The experience would be so much better if this was the case

Sure, I'll type informally in a text message to friends or family but emails always get full capitalization and punctuation even when it's informal. Maybe I'm just too far over on the elder millennial end of the spectrum...🤷‍♂️
A not-important thing these email drops have nevertheless left me thinking about: Do people type this way? Even on phones, I don’t get it. Why the random spaces? Is this text all copy-pasted from WordPerfect 5.1? I don’t care about people typing informally in emails and texts, but I’m so confused.

If I find out your bed connects to WiFi, I’m considering you a dumbass and a safety risk and immediately removing you from my life.

Listen I know it isn’t the most important part of the story out of Maine today but Jesus Christ just ONE time can a prominent guy named Graham not be a total fucking egg-sucking loser?

I wasn’t going to buy from this brand but now I’m extra not. I’ll just take out a second mortgage and get a sleep number.

this is quite genuinely insane, and I want to believe the backlash to this will be severe

This show is some of the best sitcomedy ever produced…up until like the last season-and-a-half. I’m posting before reading the article but I’m sure that’s addressed. I think the network wrested control toward the end as ratings (naturally) softened
"Every episode of The Drew Carey Show was in some way a roast of Drew Carey, filled with jokes made at his own expense, often by himself while holding back laughter."
for Collider, i wrote about the strange majesty that is ‘The Drew Carey Show’

Just as long as this isn’t seen as an end in and of itself. It’s gonna take a lot more than memes.
A great sin of the post-Obama years was the decision to let Trump’s aberrance speak for itself, in implicit contrast to Democrats' normalcy. @gavinnewsom.bsky.social is (finally) pointing to a better way. He shouldn't let anyone talk him out of it, and other Dems should take his approach farther.
Your Rectitude Isn't Helping

I know I was the only person who played this game but we’re just doing the plot of Watch Dogs 2 for real now.
ChatGPT is probably the biggest honey pot of willingly-turned over highly confidential information that has ever been created in human history.
also, so many of these people are just taking company confidential, proprietary data and dumping it into public iterations of ChatGPT, which is so incredibly problematic on so many levels. Even on our internal approved tools I have to tell people to turn them off when discussing certain legal stuff!

Something something preoccupied with could never stopped to think of you should something something. (I love this idea and would see it in theaters 3 times)
someone with Crichton's gift for pop sci-fi (and lacking his weird politics) could write a Jurassic Park screenplay that is essentially a commentary on AI. the conflict isn't "the dinosaurs break loose" it's "people are convinced that because this is impressive it's worth titanic amounts of money"
