lmao, accidentally made what I can only describe as "minefield lasagna".
The sauce was a little wimpy so I looked around and grabbed some red pepper flakes as a last minute thing but didn't stir it appropriately so now there's pretty funny a bite-by-bite heat differential.

The 2005 Amityville Horror remake is just brutally miscast. George Lutz as a sarcastic asshole while turning into a family annihilator is a very weird tonal shift, and it's constant.

If axios is the only sourcing for this I remain highly skeptical that it's anything but a whisper campaign right now.
It's not that I have excessive belief in the spinefulness of this crew, it's that I have even less belief in Axios' anonymous sources.

It's funny that the big muff became the sort of canonical fuzz because as soon as you kick that bad boy on your guitar disappears into the cymbals because the mids are so scooped.
Which, given what most guitarists play, isn't that big of a loss, but still.

You don't get slow motion shootout scenes set to breakbeats with squelching 303 basslines anymore. And that is sad.

The thing with an early load in is that the night's punisher will already be there when you arrive and they'll spot you in daylight, making it so much harder to slither away when they pounce.

Squirrels are prepping for winter outside, the cats are just moving from window to window alternating howls and ekekeks. One will howl and the rest quickly run over to join in.
I wonder if this is how the audience at gladiatorial games felt.

Burning $4 billion a month to build a product that regularly drives users to suicide. I'm not a business genius but that seems bad.
ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”
That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

At least ATL is at only 4%, not the required 10% cancelled flights so far, but not sure if other airports are doing a similar ramp up.

90s straight edge hardcore band Doughnuts from Umeå should reform to reverse this regrettable trend.
Although I thought their name was pronounced "duff-nuts" at the time and received vicious mockery for it.

Hartsfield-Jackson sees approximately 2700 departures and arrivals every day, or 6% of the 44,000 flights the FAA handles daily.
Cutting 10% of those is a pretty significant portion of overall air travel, and there are a lot of other airports impacted.

I wrote this before the verdict, to be clear.
The ingredients are out on the counter, with a slight tremble I finish my death poem and set to the grim task of slicing the bread.

the biggest problem, for me, with the editor of the NYT cranking the bad take machine up to 11 is that every time ross douthat writes something, my husband reminds me that william f buckley took a young ross douthat skinny dipping.

NY-centric double feature
Inferno (1980)
Second movie in the Suspiriaverse, Argento firing on all cylinders.
Frankenhooker (1990)
Mets perverts, supercrack, great throwaway jokes. Henenlotter loves NYC like no other director.
Jason takes Manhattan is disqualified because it's mostly on a boat.

I prefer the Staten Island that existed in my mind when all I knew about the place came from Wu-Tang songs.
Apparently all you needed to do to predict the NYC election results was read that one N.K. Jemisin novel.
