Amen, Jeremy! Amen!
Started off this morning emailing my Senators and Congressman about the NIH and the potential damage being done by unnecessary disruptions.

They need to hear from us loud and clear. Constituents matter to them as one of the primary purposes of a politician is to get re-elected (and its their job).

Scientific advancements aside, this is economically irresponsible

Every $1 spent by NIH generates $2.46

For example, in 2023, $47B in NIH spending generated ~$93B

Halting NIH spending will LOSE the US a lot of money (and talent)

🧪 CDC has confirmed California toddler had H5N1 (2.3.4.4b).
🧪They DONT say if it was an Avian (D1.1) or Bovine (B3.13) 🦠 .This is CRITICALLY important.
The only other 🇺🇸 case with H5N1 & NO animal contact had the Bovine virus (Missouri).
