Also like people always say - and this is’t the central injustice of the issue, which is obvious - *even* on the terms of GC campaigners, this makes women *less safe*. It has been proven that women who don’t present as traditionally feminine are harassed as a result of policies like this.

Just looked this up: Palestine tried to join the European Broadcasting Union in 2012 but was rejected because the International Telecommunications Union has not recognised Palestine as a part of the European Broadcasting Area but does recognise Israel.
Israel also blew up the HQ of the PBC in 2002.

On reflection I think it would have been smarter to demand that Palestine be included in Eurovision rather than Israel be excluded. It would have shown that the real international boycott is not of Israel but of Palestine, whose right to exist is constantly denied.

We've seen this play out in the last few months of Destiny 2. Turns out reducing a solar system of beautiful sci-fi fantasy worlds ready to explore into a disjointed, soulless menu system feels really bad! (Along with all the other problems Edge Of Fate had)
This concept is often hard for devs to grasp too, not just players. I put it as "the joy of doing" vs. "the joy of being".
Why does some grind or hard challenge feel joyful in game A, but a chore in game B? You enjoy *existing* in game A. The "thing to do" serves that joy.

The takeaway IMO is aggro centrism is an astonishing historic disaster. Not only does it not work - it delivers very little for the public, doesn’t address core problems of the era and disillusions the public with democracy itself - but it actively aids the far right and prepares the way for fascism
