This has basically been British central government policy for two decades.
"If we improve the lives of current American citizens, we risk the perception that this is a good country. Then people would want to live here. We’d be right back where we started: needing to spend all our taxpayer dollars deporting beloved community members."
There Is Limited Money in Our Big, Beautiful Budget, So We Need to Spend as Much of It as Possible to Keep Ruining Immigrants’ Lives
“The $170 billion price tag for immigration enforcement eclipses other law enforcement expenditures at the federal, state, and local level…. The la...

The youth of today would rather a minister of being domed, than a minister for the milennium dome.

We must condone the human trafficking for the good of NATO and Ukraine. Never mind that it was Ukrainians who were often being trafficked.

The job in hand is a cry wank
BREAKING: Keir Starmer is not resigning and will be 'concentrating on the job in hand', Downing Street has said

His mood this morning has been described as 'upbeat' and 'confident'

This doesn't pass the sniff test because another Mandelson associated op was based out of Streeting's constituency, and its latest incarnation has a close associate of Streeting as a director

This is one of things. Bigtime.

What he delivered on are all the pilled elite wants of rampant Islamophobia, transphobia and xenophobia and preparing the way for full fascist rule.
A good reminder from @billybragg.bsky.social about what Starmer once pretended to be - always worth remembering he threw this all away and managed to get fewer votes than Corbyn

how extraordinarily fortunate that UK journalists (not you) act as PR agents to their favorite MPs and pass along things with skepticism
February 9, 2026 at 6:42 PM
Friendly lobby journalists who were in Labour Students easily impressed by obvious sociopath that they are mates with.
How extraordinarily fortunate for Wes Streeting that the only text messages he sent Peter Mandelson just happened to be exactly the sort of things other Labour MPs want to hear from a potential leadership candidate

it really boils down to who do you hate more, rich sex abusers or the left, and I’m afraid that from Thatcher to Starmer we’ve been run by people for whom the answer to that question is “the left”
February 9, 2026 at 3:32 PM
Wes is such a great media performer he thought a good way to introduce hinself as a future PM was to take a friendly FT journalist to Israel. It's like its pilled tech bros are the only selectorate who matters
It’d be more accurate to say Starmer was elected by lying like fuck to audience after audience about his intentions, and it looks very much like a big chunk of the press were very well aware that he was lying and declined to inform the public. In that sense, yes, Streeting is the natural successor.

It’s the same as Johnson, isn’t it: if the secret ingredients of your success are “lying like fuck to the public” and “relying upon the unlimited indulgence of the press to repeat your lies and horseshit”, and it all explodes if the second part is removed: to what extent are you good at politics?

Most Labour shaggers don't even bother denying that they support diet fascist policies anymore and their only comeback is "well Reform will be worse". Dickhead I'm not voting for your fascists

Just tweet somerhing like "Keir Starmer won a massive mandate 18 months ago, for five years to deliver on Labour’s manifesto that we all stood on.

We should let nothing distract us from our mission to change Britain and we support the Prime Minister in doing that."

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.
