V good - as Tom points out, much of living in the UK today is built around either believing, or tolerating, being lied to directly to your face. Pointing out the lie will get you yelled at, castigated and publicly shamed, and underneath it all, a fear of what happens once the lie unravels

I read the memo this is all based on and while I can't speak for BBC Arabic's output its criticism of the wider BBC vis-a-vis Gaza just reads like a crusty right-winger reeling off a series of hasbara talking points that amount to "didn't sufficiently sugar-coat war crimes".

Happened to have the news on last night when Tim Davies resigned & I couldn't help but notice how, within the space of ~20 minutes, the story morphed from one about a dodgy edit aired over a year ago to the BBC's alleged "anti-Israel bias". Real stink of shit coming off all of this.
