An astonishing percentage of Americans are open to car-free living.

The problem isn't attitudes. The problem is the failure to invest in viable options.

Is Americans a “car culture” or are they “car dependent”?  Do they drive because they love driving, or are they in an unhealthy relationship with a substance it would be happy to do without?  Obviousl...

The standard fare position of MAGA Republicanism is that people of certain genders and minority groups should be removed from public life. Their project is to ensure transgender people and migrants of color, for instance, do not live here with them. Those groups are not given a chance to disagree.
"Much of what I would describe as Kirk's worst moments were now just standard fair MAGA Republicanism. And the leader of MAGA Republicanism is the President of the United States...we are going to have to live here with each other believing what we believe. Disagreeing in the ways we disagree."

this analysis, the largest of its kind, released today.

the part that stood out: "among U.S. adults, 0.8% (over 2.1 million people) identify as trans. among youth aged 13 to 17 in the U.S., *3.3%* (about 724,000 youth) identify as trans.

our future quite literally depends protecting trans youth 🩵🩷

no one can stop this juggernaut of profit
I wont argue philosophy, but I will tell you the future,

The Luddites lose.

The faster you/we reconcile yourself to new technology, the more likely policy and institutions can be developed to mitigate the harm.

LLM's and Dynamic automation are profitable. No amount of indignation will stop this.

Barely an hour ago, Palestinian journalist Anas Al-Sharif warned us all:

“If this madness doesn’t end, Gaza will be reduced to ruins, its people’s voices silenced, their faces erased — and history will remember you as silent witnesses to a genocide you chose not to stop.”

Israel just killed him.

But there's at least $100mil for the new broncos stadium! 🙃
Another crash today. Pickup truck driver drove into the bike lane & hit a person on a scooter and dragged them. This road was supposed to be upgraded to a protected bike lane, but once again DOTI leadership & the Mayor have not prioritized the work to make it safer. 1st Ave & Knox Ct. #bikeden
