Thinking a lot about how when Schreier's exposé on R* working conditions came out, several mid-level devs I used to respect came out with very defensive "well *I've* never worked 90 hour weeks" as though it negated the fact that many contract and QA devs demonstrably were.

Watching Gary Stevenson guest on Punter's Politics has helped start to show the cracks in him and his messaging. It's not that it isn't broadly good or that his raising the salience around inequality is bad, but he's cultivated a handful of things to say on the matter and is very inflexible now.
