Stereotypically boring: I mainly skeet about cats, food and things that annoy me.

If you really want to read those trash takes from NYT or WaPo, who suddenly seem to have discovered how awful DJT is, l recommend using archive.ph.
And they say he hasn't accomplished much!
Welp, after years of planning, pots of dedicated funding, promises that despite other elements getting yanked from the plans that sidewalk repairs were still on the table, the only sidewalk on LWB that got repaved this year was the segment right in front of Bruce's house.

Whatever else you can say about her, it turns out Olivia Nuzzi has a real talent for getting some of the worst men to stand up on their own two feet, stick out their chests, and say loudly, "By the way, I'm a real piece of shit myself"

Sallycat broke into a cupboard while I was out hiking one day and devoured a package of salmon jerky *and* a package of hairball control cat treats. I didn't end up taking her to the vet because the salty jerky caused her to drink so much water that everything came up.

An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Hey graphic design folks! Are there any industry job sites you like? I've googled them, but I'm trying to find out which ones people prefer.

Operation Something To Look Forward To is a go! Bonne Maman calendar ordered this morning (plus one for my parents). I believe See's and Ethel M advent calendars are about $80 each. I'll hit up that Claire Willet (sp?) thread today.
I should order enough advent calendars to get me through the next 12 months.

At this year's CMS Quality Conference the big opening session was a panel discussion featuring Dr. Oz. They hammered on how important it was to have all our data and all the things they were going to do with our data. (Which sounded creepy.)

But not *all* our data, I guess?🤔
The government funds treatment, and collects and stores all data for Americans diagnosed with kidney failure.

But the Trump administration’s attack on DEI has taken away questions on patient race, information used for actual medical breakthroughs.

you might not know this but if you live in the city and you order food it's very important to open the door while standing straight up and step out and then reach down to pick up your food. otherwise you risk locking eyes with a neighbor in a position i call "the goblin tableau"

Dad was indeed on his way to bed when I called last night & then hanging with his fishing club buddies this morning; he'll be over with a new battery tomorrow. He of course has the receipt for the current battery—bought 35 months ago—even though they moved and got rid of nearly everything Aug. 2024.
Mobile car battery replacement is a thing, yes? But is it ridiculously expensive? Like more than, say, $300? Because I'm willing to pay a premium for someone else (reputable) to take care of it, but I have my limits.

An ABC News reporter asked about U.S. intelligence findings that MBS ordered the killing of Jamal Khashoggi.

Trump interrupted, attacked the reporter, then defended MBS: "He knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest by asking something like that."
