There was no institutional hatred against TechBros and that is partly how we got here. If a bunch of podcasters and losers on Twitter were enough to "push" tech bros into the arms of fascists then they were always comfortable with fascism as an idea. I talk about this in my dissertation.
That and the far left made them enemies.
You can't say things like "guillotine the rich" and expect them to just stay on the sidelines.
Every organization or group the left says they want to abolish has become another ally of Trump, if not solely, then partially because he won't abolish them.
