That's it.

That's all you ever need to say to explain who Labour are.

We tried to place this story - very expensive polling, the first of its kind, strong quantitative data about what trans people feel about Britain: bluntly there is no better way to tell the story - with the BBC but it said it was "too weak".

But it will pick up any old piece of transhating garbage.
In @yougov.co.uk polling of the trans community, to the best of our knowledge the first of its kind ever conducted, an astonishing 84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people.

We need to talk about cis het women (especially on a hen do) sexualy assaulting/harassing others.

This is a cultural problem that's never spoken about. It must be spoken about. It's not okay for a woman to grab the bum of a man who has no connection to your party.

I've got to say, the more I hear @zackpolanski.bsky.social speak, the more I start to feel there maybe some hope for the future in the UK, hope that I'd honestly given up on. Now we need to see whether he truly follows through

fucking hell this is an awful idea.
Cool how sometimes I'm faced with news that reminds me that I don't hate the rich enough.
A US tech bro corp in the US has decided the night sky should go away. They've made that decision for everyone on Earth.

Naturally they've named the first searing orbital array (many times brighter than the moon) after Eärendil, the light bearer, from Tolkien's work

This Labour government has made children like Brianna less safe.

• Has banned their healthcare.

• Reinstated a new version of section 28.

• Joined culture war attacks based on lies about trans people.

Either you do something about that or it’s time to take her name out of your mouth.

This is the key point everyone should remember. If rights don't apply to everyone, they apply to no-one. Rather, they are privileges granted to you by the beneficence of authority and can be withdrawn at any point.
As soon as they don't apply to all humans, they cease to be human rights, and become just rights for the privileged based on hierarchy.

The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights has written to the UK highlighting concerns around threats to freedom of assembly because of increasing restrictions on protest, and the threat to the human rights of trans people resulting from the UK Supreme Court judgment in April.
Read my two letters to the #UK:
1. Protests: I call for a review of the legal framework and the reconsideration of provisions in the Crime & Policing Bill that could restrict freedom of assembly.
2. Trans people: I warn against exclusion&zero-sum approaches
