I shouldn't be crying over this. There's fa I can do about it. I feel trapped by circumstance and on an island that is very much wanting me not to exist.

Its terrifying that the UK is a place where going to work as trans could lead to a national harassment campaign

It’s been a grim fortnight. I’ve needed to ignore some of it.

Do we now have a situation in the uk where a trans person whose place of work is somewhere that’s open to the public will have to use one loo whilst behind the bar, let’s say, but as soon as they clock off can use the other?

Absurd.

Hilary Cass is a crackpot. She is to trans healthcare in Britain what RFJ Jr is to vaccines in the US. She is no better.
So glad we have massively restructured transgender care on based on the works of someone who believes absolute nonsense.

When you’re a UK trans woman, you roll invisible dice every day before work. All sixes, and a coworker with billionaire money will take your employer to court over you, you will be on the news, and when you leave the country, men with abuse allegations against them will call it a victory for women.

Please give to this if you can. My very dignified and humane existence within the UK relies on it.
Good law are appealing the ruling.

It goes against the internal law, there is an international legal case being brought forward but it needs funds so people can donate or share their campaign to help fund the legal challenge.

Good law needs help too;

Sigh. I'm so not sure about the week ahead.

I also asked what our collective options are after the ruling last week and not a single reply! 😔

Honestly, I'm a little relieved she's leaving he UK, as I was petrified we were witnessing what happened to Lucy Meadows all over again.

I mean, we are, the media is just as terrible, and I can only conclude that's exactly the outcome they were looking for?
The disgustingly trans-hostile UK media are now hounding a trans doctor - who has already had the media spotlight on her as a victim of transphobia - because she’s decided to quit and flee the country to get away from the relentless transphobia! 😣😖

The UK media are BULLIES! 😤

Seriously, what legal options are now available to us since the ruling/decision last week?

1, Direct appeal?
2, Court of Appeal - to the SC decision?
3, ECHR?

Is that it? I need to know.

So if a Trans person in the UK works at Company A they cant use the company A womens toilet.

If a Trans person in the UK works at Company B they cant use the Company B womens toilet.

But they can use the toilets in the other company? Cisgender folk are not OK.

Trans women can use women's toilets, except at work, court rules

This!

Whilst it is hurtful to be forced out of the women's loo, and tempted to fight back. We HAVE to survive.
Trans people in the UK would be well-advised to get accessible toilet keys.

Get them from @essehouse.bsky.social and you can:

A) get them for free if you need one

B) pay & keep your money within a community initiative that's doing vital work to build the support framework the community needs.

I explain how the Labour government's proposed revisions to the guidance on "keeping children in education" are designed to erase trans children in England. But it's not a done deal - there is plenty we can do to oppose this.
