The “book pirates are bad people” discourse is funny because “this shitty website in Kazakhstan has better marketing than many libraries in the US” should be like alarm bells for teaching people about their library resources and not about what posters are weaponizing adversity or whatever

Explaining that to ethically read a book that’s on hoopla but not libby or overdrive on your old kindle you just have to get a computer and run an android emulator to install their app and download the book then convert it to epub with another program and then email it to yourself, nbd sheesh

I actually liked what I’ve seen of this so far because it’s like they individually told each actor to make an awful show and then didn’t let them compare notes, so everybody is doing a terrible job while getting constantly surprised by how bad of a job everybody else is doing
