The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

All you anti Muslim bigots who spread nothing but the most vile hate against Mamdani, I'm here for your meltdowns and tantrums.
I'm all the way petty.

Fox News is really fun to watch tonight. All the hosts and guests have this queasy look, like they ate shrimp that had been sitting out for 2 weeks.

More people voted in New York City’s election this year than they have in 50 years.
That’s a win for democracy, and a testament to @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's inspiring campaign.
Congratulations to the next mayor of the greatest city in the world. 🗽

A million people showed up to say your money can't stop a movement whose time has come.
Can’t stop thinking about all the robber baron fucks that held secret meetings and spent MILLIONS AND MILLIONS in bribes and campaign investments and attack ads and media manipulation trying to tank Mamdani currently having the dawning realization that their money is completely and utterly useless.

Mamdani is the Good Cop of the left AND he's the Bad Cop of the Democratic Party. That's good, because both of these roles have been sorely missing. Red State fascists should know that we no longer intend to elect people who will back down.
The framing of this is hilarious: Democrats deeply worried about the repercussions of a victory

As Mamdani nears victory, Democrats worry about national fallout
The progressive candidate is on the cusp of a historic mayoral win. And that's adding to unease among Democrats looking for a way back to national power.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

Want to get Americans off SNAP?
Well, if the minimum wage had kept up with inflation and productivity, it would be $26 an hour. That would remove 13 million workers from food stamps overnight.
Start there.
