our country's political window shifting as far right as it has is due entirely to a repeated process of Republicans doing things they aren't allowed to do and Democrats responding not with sanctions but a repeated demand that Republicans knock it off, already.

it's how Roe v Wade got overturned!
Jeffries: "We believe there should be a prohibition on ICE deporting or detaining American citizens. We believe that ICE should conduct itself like every other law enforcement agency in the country. We believe ICE shouldn't run around with masks ... "

require warrants in SOME cases? The Fourth Amendment requires warrants IN ALL CASES! why is it asking too much for Democrats to stand by the U.S. Constitution
Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the party agreed on three main goals:

° Require warrants in some cases and ICE coordination with state and local law enforcement

° Create a code of conduct and enforce it

° Require agents to wear body cams and not masks

Kristi Noem and Kash Patel are right: Alex Pretti had no right to possess a gun during a protest. What if he had killed someone?

It seems clear Alex Pretti, a healthcare worker, was murdered for engaging in the exact kind of community care we hope all care workers to embody: the kind that doesn’t stop at the threshold of the hospital, the clinic, but that aims to care for and support the community where and how they can

More loathsome and smug dissembling. Bessent works for a crew that for years has been championing gun ownership, and possession, and now uses this to imply Alex Pretti was a violent threat—and deserved to be shot and killed. This man has no soul.
KARL: He was an ICU use who worked for the VA and there's no evidence he brandished the gun whatsoever

BESSENT: But he brought a gun

KARL: I mean, we do have a Second Amendment

BESSENT: I've been to a protest -- guess what? I didn't bring a gun. I brought a billboard

More bullshit gaslighting. Kash Patel and his crowd of long defended the rights of people to carry guns wherever they freckin’ want to. Now they use it as an excuse to justify the murder of Alex Pretti. They will say anything to protect their power and rationalize their use of criminal violence.
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

Q: What goals do you have for '26 in Congress for your agenda?

TRUMP: I have great executive orders. Like, water coming out of a sink. The water wouldn't come out. They had all sorts of restrictions. I took them off. Straws. They don't have to be paper anymore. I'd like to have all that confirmed.

Does anyone watching the violent culture of ICE agents in MLPS, or reading their fascist recruitment ads, think the issue is lack of training?

So why are Dems ready to keep funding this monster, with a few "reforms"? Can an opposition meet the moment?
