ABA proponents often claim play-based methods are “evidence-based” bc they produce measurable outcomes. The problem is what they measure. Most studies in ABA research focus on short-term behavior change—not long-term psychological health, identity or self-regulation.

The Illusion of “Play-Based ABA”: The Gentle Mask of Control
One of the newest rebrands of Applied Behavior Analysis is “play-based ABA.” At first glance, it looks comforting to parents and teachers who may have heard critiques of traditional ABA. Instead of a ...

An accessible family cookbook that offers solutions rather than tricks to empower the food-averse, autistic, and picky eater, with 46 recipes. This much-needed cookbook combines tips and techniques.....

25 percent of Americans are 'car poor' and 30 percent of Americans don't/can't drive. So why is preferential treatment given to drivers of cars/trucks driving through where other people live/play/work? Time to change the #Paradigm and overcome #Motonormativity. #Places4People #SafeStreets4All
Not only are cars a massive expense for most households, but they’re creating/perpetuating a debt crisis for a growing number of people.

Forced car dependency causes unnecessary financial strain, especially for low and middle income folks.

Column | More Americans are car poor as they misjudge trade-in math and pile on debt
More than 1 in 4 consumers owe more on their car loans than the vehicle is worth, while car payments of $1,000 have reached a record high.

Autism and adhd and the rest are not modern phenomena. The overstimulation and constant barrage of information which causes them to become a disability is, to an extent, a modern phenom.
It’s a complex and multifaceted situation but what it is not, is new.

Oh goodie we’ve got a self proclaimed ‘history buff’ in charge of things.
All us actual historians can breathe easier now. Lol
Don't put in the newspaper that she is a history buff.

The review of the Smithsonian museums for "improper ideology" is being led by a 35-year old lawyer who has no experience or credentials in history or museum studies.

But one supporter says she is an avid "fan of history."🗃️
She told Trump the Smithsonian needs changing. He’s ordered her to do it.
Who is Lindsey Halligan, the attorney assigned to help remove “improper ideology” from Washington’s most important cultural institution?
