I have a lot of anxiety.
A significant chunk of potential riders are never going to take that risk. More may be willing to take that risk on their own, but not with their kids. Hesitation to ride in these circumstances is not a personal failure, but a failure of transportation policy.

I appreciate that you are trying to get more people out on bikes! However, we need better bike infrastructure in the US. There really are places in the US where the highway is the only option. If there are backroads, people take them at 50 mph. A crash at those speeds is fatal for the cyclist.

Which businesses are saying that? I earned an M.A. and then spent years making $10-$12/hour in jobs that didn't require a degree at all. I had to go back for another degree to get a career and a living wage. Yes, the skills from my BA and MA are important, but the credentials didn't pay the rent.

Autism and adhd and the rest are not modern phenomena. The overstimulation and constant barrage of information which causes them to become a disability is, to an extent, a modern phenom.
It’s a complex and multifaceted situation but what it is not, is new.
