Nothing to see here, just your average experience on Route 8 (thanks @juanjpg.bsky.social for the video!)
• Bus takes 16 minutes to go one block
• Riders give up halfway and just start walking
• 2 other buses manage to catch up in the meantime

Stone Way N sure looks like it has plenty of space for some protected bike lanes to/from Green Lake. One of the many great examples of how good we are at wasting space for the personal vehicle while so many who cycle this roadway endure the looming dangers from cars.

Biking home from elementary school dropoff past the local middle school. Doors being flung open on our right. Left lane is cars coming off the freeway ramp and still going fast.

In the afternoon, we have to navigate this with our 7- and 8-yr-olds bikers trying to get home.

One of the best examples of intergenerational housing I've seen in North America.

4 generations, 4 homes, 1 lot. Vancouver family builds own private neighborhood.

Sheffield’s first ‘Dutch-style’ roundabout has opened.

Compared to installing traffic signals, the design is safer for pedestrians and cyclists, causes less delay to people driving, and creates more green space.

With a budget of almost half a billion dollars for the Montlake lid, you'd think that WSDOT would have installed some big flashing 'No Turn on Red' signs.

Looking at Seattle's zoning capacity, just 9.7% of the 215,000+ potential homes that could currently be built are located in neighborhoods with the best access to downtown: Queen Anne, Madison Valley, Magnolia, Leschi.

Meanwhile 26% are north of 85th Street. This is a recipe for more driving.
