Probably a good way to tell right now if the job you’re applying for is run by absolute dumbfucks is to ask if they’re using AI.
"The AI industry’s most important product at this moment is not a chatbot or a video generator; it’s the story the AI industry is telling about itself.... According to an MIT study, 95% of businesses that have deployed generative AI have gotten no value from it." www.theringer.com/2025/11/04/t...

Have never been more aware of how brittle and paper-thin fascist belief systems are than I have the past year. These guys tremble at a couple drops of rain.
Between the Islamophobia, the anti-Semitism, the racism, and the homophobia -- it must be so bizarre to be afraid of basically everyone, all the time

Pure loser shit

Thread. This is what a moral panic looks like.
SPD out here on Northgate shutting down the taco stand between 8th and Roosevelt due to "multiple licensing and health code violations" that they wouldn't provide anymore info about.

If you can’t see how ramping up taco stand enforcement, with SPD no less, is putting our immigrant communities at risk right now, I don’t know what to tell you. ICE is gonna be sitting on the scanner just waiting for SPD to basically tell them where to go. This is patently obvious.

I don’t miss much about San Jose but one thing I do miss is the ramen shop we lived near that had the best veggie stir fry ramen I’ve ever had in my life.

so of course I inhaled a bowl the other night.

Per King County elections, expect around 30,000 ballots in Seattle's drop today. Seems likely this thing is headed to next week.

how the hell did progressives manage to sweep the rest of the Seattle ballot but somehow Harrell is still leading for mayor?
Late ballot-box votes favor progressives, but Wilson will need a dramatic turnaround and strong turnout among the ballots that haven't been counted yet to reverse the trend. She's currently trailing Harrell by more than 8 points, a 1-point drop from last night.
