As PEC President Christopher Miller said above, it’s the data center industry’s massive electricity use that’s driving up *your* residential electric bill.

Even the proposal for high-use customers to pay 60% of what they request is inadequate. It should be 100%.

No subsidizing corporate greed.

“The assumption is it's your AC that's driving peak load and therefore the size of the system. But with data centers, that goes out the window. Ninety-100% of future expense is attributable to data center demand growth. Not residential, not small businesses, not farms.”

Went to DC to advocate for not destroying US healthcare and research. Came away fairly confident most of these nerds have no idea how our system works, which, tbh, is not surprising.

Exception being Warren’s healthcare guy.

Nothing will kill more children than the ongoing decimation of CDC, NIH, and USAID work to lift vaccine uptake in the US and world.

This, but for my clinical documentation.
My notes as I review a paper are my momentary impressions. Having an LLM slap them together into something that has the form of a peer review is useless. What matters is how I synthesize those momentary impressions into a holistic analysis of the paper, it's strengths and flaws.

👇🏽 We're in a housing affordability emergency in the Cville area. we desperately need all kinds of housing for all kinds of people. A vibrant community is only possible when people who work here—in all kinds of jobs—can also afford to live here
Despite numerous public comments in support of Chestnut Grove and the affordable housing it would provide, Supervisors Mallek, Andrews, and LaPisto Kirtley voted against it and killed the project.

We are extremely disappointed with the three of them, who claim to support affordable housing.
And it was truly heartening to see a groundswell of public support for Chestnut Grove mobile home park following the budget hearing. A lot of people in Albemarle understand that affordable housing is not just hypothetical - it means saying yes to housing today.

Show up Wednesday to the Albemarle County Budget Hearing to advocate for affordable housing!

The County is planning to spend millions below what is needed for affordable housing, despite broad support for this investment.

We need you there to let the Supervisors know this is not okay!

Much credit to Supervisors Pruitt, Galloway, and McKeel for voting in favor of this project. The rural areas should not be restricted to wealthy people. This was a major missed opportunity for the county to start getting things right with regards to affordability in the rural areas.

Veterans will not take this sitting down - we can make this the newest example of Trump being forced to back down from a bad move.
