You can do things to alleviate your symptoms, but diet, exercise, and things you previously relied on for "normalcy" can (and often does) make your condition worse.

It's really hard to watch newly disabled people do things that actively make their symptoms worse in the name of "normalcy." So much of it is just internalized ableism and not being willing to come to terms with reality. It's just so frustrating to watch.
